Learned Optimism

Learned Optimism
It’s that time of year again. During the month of December, there is always an uptick of people spreading a nasty sheet down on the sidewalks of NYC and selling 80’s technology, old printer labels, a few shitty books and my favorite, one shoe. Just one. I particularly like the placement of this shoe, next to the “Learned Optimism” book. But just who the hell is buying the one shoe? Do people comb the streets, hoping to find a pair? Have they lost one shoe during a night of drunken revelry, and hope to find it at one of these makeshift sidewalk general stores? Is that what “Learned Optimism” means? Maybe so…

Happy holidays!
